Ice Age Trail
In 2017, the city of Delafield became an Ice Age Trail community. When complete, the Ice Age National Scenic Trail will cross
approximately 132 communities in 31 of Wisconsin's 72 counties. Along
the way, the Trail takes users to some of the best glacial features in
the world, provides opportunities for personal rejuvenation, is an
outdoor classroom, and is an economic resource for communities. These
assets make the Ice Age Trail a welcome addition to many communities
ranging from small roadside stops to bustling metropolises.

Hawks Inn is the fully restored stagecoach stop that was once the social
center of Delafield in the 1800s. Public tours of this three-story,
18-room historical site are scheduled every Saturday from May through
Lapham Peak is filled with trails, woods and prairies, a
butterfly garden, picnic sites, and more. As one of the units of the
Kettle Moraine State Forest, Lapham Peak is part of the Wisconsin State
Park System. The Kettle Moraine area was formed over 10,000 years ago
when a glacier covered much of Wisconsin. The park also features Waukesha County's only outdoor performing arts theater
